1. Licensing & Certification
Radon Guys USA technicians perform measurement and mitigation in accordance with national standards (AARST/EPA) and applicable state requirements.
- National certification: NRPP-certified Radon Mitigation professionals (Cert. # [NRPP NUMBER]).
- Illinois: Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) under 32 Ill. Adm. Code 422 — License # [IL LICENSE NUMBER].
- Wisconsin: Services performed by NRPP-certified professionals; Wisconsin does not require a separate state radon license.
- Continuing education: Our team maintains required CE credits to keep certifications current.
2. Insurance & Bonding
We carry insurance and bonding appropriate to our work. Certificates of insurance are available on request.
- General Liability: [$ AMOUNT] per occurrence / [$ AMOUNT] aggregate.
- Surety Bond: We are bonded for [$ AMOUNT], protecting customers in the event of property loss or incomplete work.
- Workers' Compensation: Coverage as required by IL and WI law.
- Commercial Auto: Coverage on all company service vehicles.
- Professional / Pollution Liability: [$ AMOUNT], as applicable to radon services.
3. Employee Screening & In-Home Safety
Our people enter your home, so we hold them to a high standard. Every Radon Guys USA employee and crew member is vetted before they are assigned to customer work.
- Background checks: All employees pass a criminal background check prior to performing in-home work, with periodic re-screening per company policy.
- Driving records: Anyone operating a company vehicle clears a motor-vehicle-record review.
- Photo identification: Technicians carry company photo-ID badges and arrive in branded uniforms so you can confirm who is at your door. If anyone cannot present ID, do not admit them and email us at hello@radonguysusa.com.
- Bonded & insured: Our team is bonded and insured for your protection (see Section 2).
- Respect for your home: Crews use drop cloths, protect work areas, and clean up fully before leaving.
- Right to decline unsafe conditions: For the safety of our staff and customers, we may decline or pause service where site conditions present a health or safety hazard (for example, biohazards, unsafe access, or conditions requiring remediation beyond our scope). Any such decision is based solely on site safety and never on any legally protected characteristic.
4. Guarantee & Warranty Terms
Our workmanship guarantee is designed to give you lasting peace of mind:
- Performance guarantee: We guarantee mitigated homes will be reduced below the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L. If a verified post-mitigation test shows otherwise, we will modify the system at no additional cost.
- Transferable: The guarantee transfers to subsequent owners of the home for the covered period.
- Fan warranty: Mitigation fans carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 5 years); we warranty our installation workmanship for [TERM].
- Exclusions: Coverage excludes damage from tampering, alterations by others, structural changes, or new radon entry points created after installation. Full terms provided with your installation paperwork.
5. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer and Radon Guys USA each agree to indemnify and hold the other harmless from third-party claims arising out of their own negligence or willful misconduct. Radon Guys USA's total liability under any agreement is limited to [the contract price of the services performed / $ AMOUNT]. Radon is a naturally occurring gas; while our systems are highly effective, no mitigation system can guarantee a specific reading at all times under all conditions. [Have counsel finalize this clause.]
6. Referral & Real-Estate Policy (RESPA)
We work with real-estate agents, inspectors, and partners — and we do it the legal way.
- We do not pay referral fees, gift cards, or anything of value to agents in exchange for referrals, consistent with RESPA Section 8 and applicable state real-estate license law.
- Any "realtor-referred" discount is a benefit provided directly to the homeowner/client, not a payment to the referring agent.
- Co-marketing, if any, is conducted at fair market value for services actually rendered and is never conditioned on referrals.
7. Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. Information you submit through our forms (name, contact details, property address) is used solely to provide and improve our services.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We share data only with service providers needed to deliver our services (e.g., scheduling, payment processing).
- To request access to or deletion of your data, contact hello@radonguysusa.com.
- [Add cookie/analytics disclosures here if you add tracking.]
8. Terms of Service
By ordering a test kit or scheduling service, you agree to our service terms, including scheduling, payment, cancellation, and the guarantee/indemnity provisions above. Test-kit credits apply toward mitigation as described at the time of purchase. Full terms are provided with your order confirmation and installation agreement. [Finalize with counsel.]
